We are counting down the weeks until registration closes, tryouts begin and Opening Day is here! If you haven't already, visit our website at vll.org to register your player.
Mandatory New Member Check In
A 'new member' is a player of any age who has not yet played a spring season in Vienna Little League. Since we do not collect age and residency documents during Fall Ball, every player must submit these during his or her first spring season. If you have previously played in VLL but skipped one or more seasons, you are not required to produce documentation again. Players are not required to attend.
Check In Dates: Wednesdays, March 14, 21, or 28th at 6-7:45pm (attend only one; arrive at any time)

Tryouts will be held on Monday, February 19th and Sunday, February 25th. Be sure to check the website to know which date and time your player should attend. Click herefor all tryout details.
PCA CORNER Your Sports Parenting Goal for 2018
At the beginning of every year, many people make resolutions and set new goals. In youth and high school sports, PCA encourages coaches to strive for two goals: winning and teaching life lessons.
As 2018 gets underway, we encourage sports parents to let coaches do the coaching and to focus on your more important role of ensuring your child maximizes the inevitable life lesson opportunities that emerge throughout the season.
We know this won't always be easy, but we hope these Top 10 Tips For Sports Parents, from PCA National Advisory Board Member Carol Dweck, will be helpful in that effort. Happy New Year from all of us at Positive Coaching Alliance!
VLL is still looking for managers for T-Ball, Rookie, and Single A teams. If you are interested heading up a team, please contact the T-Ball, Rookie, And Single A Director, Harris Vazquez at
- several spots still open!

VLL's partnership with Positive Coaching Alliance is in year 5 and this partnership is important to understand and support for the sake of the kids of VLL.
On the VLL website, there is a PCA resource center which can be accessed by clicking on the "Coaches Corner" tab on the home page. This resource center provides valuable information on how PCA works and how your support of PCA directly impacts your player, your team, and the sport.
Below is important information to be aware of at all VLL events, whether you are a league parent or volunteer (e.g., team manager and coaches), and whether it be at Yeonas Park or a VLL satellite field (e.g., Cervenak Field @ Glyndon Park, Black and Curry Fields @ Nottoway Park, Stenwood Field, etc.)
"Always" respect the game, the umpire, the rules, your teammates and parents, and the other team by abiding by the League's Code of Conduct and Positive Coaching Alliance Principles.

Covering the first 60 years of the League's history, the League's History Book is professionally-designed, about 160 pages and in full color. This book is the first of its kind assembled for the league and has already become a keepsake for players, parents and coaches who have shared in the VLL experience.
If you have questions on the work involved in putting this history book together or on how to obtain a copy, please contact Brian Smith at email@example.com.
